WLA Members Support Delaware Innovation Week 2018

Wilmington Leaders Alliance is excited to have members supporting Delaware Innovation Week. From hosting events to running a contest to pay for an exhibitor table, WLA members will be prominent during this statewide event.


M&T Bank

It has been a busy year in the community for WLA member M&T bank. Thanks to their sponsorship for DiW, two organizations can win a table to the Kickoff event on November 2nd, 2018.


Christiana Care

WLA member Christiana Care is one of the main sponsors of the event. Currently, they are the sole sponsor of the Developer event track. Events featured in that track include coding classes run by ZipCode Wilmington, a happy hour, and a panel featuring local programming experts.

Top officials from Christiana Care can be found at Women in Innovation and Technology DayCatherine Burch, the Director of Health and Technology Innovation will be speaking about her work experiences during the Women in Digital Panel.


TAPP Network

This is TAPP Network’s first year participating in Delaware Innovation Week and they have made a splash. The company is the presenting sponsor of the first annual Women in Innovation and Technology Day is an all afternoon event featuring women in business and technology.

On Sunday, TAPP will be presenting the FIRST Robotics Competition demo.  This event will be featuring local FIRST Robotics and FIRST Technology Challange teams. Through this STEM education-based nonprofit, teams of school-aged children and teenagers create complex robots to compete in an international competition. Students will be practicing this year’s game Rover Ruckus. For attendees not in the program, basic classes on engineering will be taught every hour. This event takes place on Sunday, November 4th from 1 pm – 5 pm at Kingswood Community Center.
